Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Co., Ltd. was founded in 1936, formerly known as Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Factory (state-owned). China's first double-disc friction press was produced by Liaoyang Forging. Subsequently, the first domestic electric screw press, automatic brick press, thousand-ton electric screw hammer, vertical precision forging machine, and composite external mold brick press were all developed and produced by Liaoyang Forging.
