The LDS67 Series CNC Electric Spiral Brick Press is specially designed for the refractory industry, tailored for refractory material forming. It is the third-generation electric product of Liaoyang Forging, developed after thorough research on domestic and international electric spiral presses and combined with the process characteristics of the refractory industry through multiple structural designs, improvements, and refinements. It adopts dual motor drive and a new structure, featuring advanced control, high efficiency and energy saving, safe operation, easy handling, stable product quality, and low maintenance workload. It uses a PLC programmable controller to control two switched reluctance motors and is equipped with a human-machine interface, allowing the setting of impact force according to manufacturing processes and forming precision. It has advantages such as large closed height, wide working table surface, and good stress state of screw and nut. It is suitable for pressing various refractory bricks such as clay bricks, magnesia bricks, magnesia-carbon bricks, nozzle bricks, corundum bricks, spinel bricks, aluminum bricks, pitch bricks, and slide bricks. Features of the Switched Reluctance Motor Speed Control System
The switched reluctance motor combined with its controller is called the switched reluctance motor speed control system, which has the following features:
1. High efficiency and energy saving: Due to its wide speed regulation range, different slider speeds can be set according to different workpieces, greatly improving productivity; the motor directly drives the flywheel, having the shortest transmission chain; when the slider stops moving, the motor stops running. The CNC electric spiral brick press controlled by the switched reluctance motor can save about 50% energy compared to friction brick presses.
2. Wide speed regulation range: It can operate under load continuously from zero to maximum speed, with motor temperature rise lower than that under rated load, and can run continuously at low speed.
3. High starting torque and low starting current: When the starting torque reaches 2-3 times the rated torque, the starting current is only about 20% of the rated current. There is no phenomenon of starting current several times higher than rated current as in AC motors, so there is no risk of motor burnout.

Advantages of Switched Reluctance Motor Compared to Other Motors
1. Superior frequent forward and reverse rotation performance: It can frequently rotate forward and backward and start and stop frequently. When the three-phase input power supply or controller output is missing a phase, the motor does not burn out. In contrast, AC variable frequency motors have poor frequent forward and reverse rotation ability, and servo motors can demagnetize after long-term forward and reverse rotation, reducing motor output force.
2. High rotor strength: The rotor of the electric spiral brick press motor bears large impact forces. The switched reluctance motor rotor is made of laminated silicon steel sheets without windings or permanent magnets, capable of withstanding maximum impact. AC motor rotors have aluminum squirrel cages that operate at high temperatures; frequent high-intensity impacts can cause cage bar breakage. Servo motor rotors have permanent magnets attached or embedded, which can fall off or crack under frequent high-intensity impacts.
3. Superior cooling method: The switched reluctance motor uses fan cooling. AC motors require independent cooling ducts, making cooling more complex. Servo motor permanent magnets generally require operating temperatures below 120°C, necessitating good cooling. Motors usually use water or oil cooling, which can leak under the impact of the brick press.
4. Good maintenance performance: The motor winding is an independent winding, easy to replace. The rotor only has silicon steel sheets which will not be damaged, and maintenance does not require complex equipment and processes, making it simple. AC motors have squirrel cage bars on the rotor; if the bars break, aluminum casting must be redone, which is complex. The stator has many slots; if the winding is damaged, replacement is complicated and costly. If the servo motor's permanent magnet demagnetizes or loses magnetism, it must be returned to the original manufacturer for repair and magnet replacement. Permanent magnets are expensive, replacement processes are complex, and maintenance costs are high.

LDS Series CNC Electric Spiral Brick Press Structure and Features
1. Machine composition: Consists of the main machine part, slider part, transmission part, braking part, air pipeline, lubrication part, material pushing part, maintenance platform, and electrical control system. A switched reluctance motor is installed on the machine body.
2. Adopts a combined machine body structure: The body consists of beams, base, tie rods, tension nuts, positioning rings, forming a closed frame prestressed combined body with high rigidity and high reliability. The body structure strength is fully analyzed by finite element method to eliminate stress concentration and optimize design, ensuring the machine tool's service life.
3. Driven by two switched reluctance motors with balanced force: Using dual switched reluctance motors, the flywheel is directly driven to rotate forward and backward via pulleys, driving the slider movement. The equipment transmission is stable, force is balanced, parts are well stressed, reliability is high, and maintenance costs are low.
4. Safe and reliable braking: Uses a combined motor and mechanical braking method, allowing braking at any position throughout the full stroke, with quick and reliable braking. Compared to the LDE67 series, the brake system is optimized by using a brake cylinder to directly drive the friction block, resulting in faster and more direct response. The brake cylinder uses a double-acting cylinder, combining pneumatic and spring brakes for greater braking force. The brake control valve uses the world-renowned Airtac brand control unit, with faster response and 65% improved braking effect compared to the LDE67 series, while being more stable.
5. Screw structure improvement: The LDS67 series product improves the screw structure compared to the LDE67 series. Finite element analysis optimizes the design to eliminate stress concentration, increases the screw diameter, and extends screw life.
6. Increased striking force: The LDS67 series product increases the flywheel's rotational inertia by 30% to 50% compared to the LDE67 series, increasing the equipment's striking force by over 30%. The main bearing model is upgraded by two levels, ensuring improved striking force and stability.
7. Optimized belt tensioning structure: The LDS67 series uses grouped belt transmission and optimizes the motor frame tensioning structure. The belt tensioning method changes from inward rotation pressing to outward rotation pulling, making the structure compact, adjustment convenient, and increasing internal space of the walking platform.
8. Material pushing method: Uses a mechanical tie rod type ejection device.
9. Balance cylinder: For LDS67-1600 (including 1600) and above models, balance cylinders are installed at the front and rear of the machine body beam to balance the weight of moving parts, ensuring smooth movement and quick return, while also providing certain safety protection. The balance cylinder is a standard purchased cylinder with high reliability and long service life.
10. Automatic lubrication: The LDS67 series improves the lubrication system compared to the LDE67 series. The main bearing inside the beam, bronze guide bearing, thrust bearing, screw, and nut lubrication all use thin oil lubrication. The screw is sealed with an accordion protective cover, with no exposed parts. The entire thin oil lubrication system is sealed, and the lubricant circulates. The thin oil lubrication pump has a large flow and includes a flow monitoring switch to monitor lubrication points, ensuring system stability. Circulating lubrication also carries heat and dirt back to the oil tank for cooling. The system oil tank has multiple filtration systems to clean the lubricant. The human-machine interface includes lubrication maintenance reminders for primary and secondary maintenance and lubrication points. The guide rail uses lithium-based grease lubrication, increasing system pressure from 3.5MPa to 16MPa, with an oil shortage reminder function.
11. Reliable structure and easy maintenance: The electric spiral press uses switched reluctance motors to directly drive the flywheel forward and backward via pulleys, driving slider movement. The equipment has high reliability, few vulnerable parts, and very low maintenance costs.
12. High product forming repeatability: Since the motor speed can be set arbitrarily, the slider's return and striking motor speeds can be freely set. Thus, the slider's striking force can be set arbitrarily within the applicable range, with stable output, ensuring high repeatability in mass brick product forming.
13. High automation level: The control system uses PLC control with button operation, supporting manual and automatic modes. It uses a human-machine interface (HMI, i.e., touchscreen), facilitating operators to set and modify parameters such as striking force, striking times, and exhaust times according to workpiece and process changes. Control accuracy is high and operation is convenient.
14. Process parameter memory function: After changing the brick type, the original brick type's process parameters can be stored and recalled. When producing the same brick type again, parameters do not need to be reset but can be directly called. Up to eight brick types' process parameters can be stored.
15. Statistical function: Production output can be regularly counted for easier management.
16. Special order parts: The following functions can be configured according to user special orders.
1) Can be equipped with a floating worktable (two types: with compensation and without compensation) for user special orders. The floating worktable can achieve bidirectional floating pressure on the brick blank, improving overall density. The compensated floating worktable not only has bidirectional floating pressure but also feeding compensation, making the protruding parts of the pressed paving bricks have more filler than other parts, increasing the density of the working surface protrusions compared to non-working surfaces, effectively improving paving brick quality and service life.
2) Can be equipped with a striking force display instrument to show peak force during operation, displaying the forming force of specific workpieces and adjusting striking force as needed.
3) Can be equipped with infrared safety protection devices (photoelectric protection devices) to enhance operator safety and achieve safe operation.
4) Can be equipped with hydraulic or pneumatic feeding devices according to user requirements. Double and triple feeding devices can also be provided as needed.
5) Can be equipped with an automatic feeding and brick output system according to user needs to improve overall equipment usage and control level, reduce labor, and increase productivity.
6) Can be equipped with safety supports according to user requirements to enhance equipment safety.
