Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Co., Ltd. was founded in 1936, formerly known as Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Factory (state-owned). In the early 1950s, it manufactured the country's first double-disc friction press. After transitioning its business operation model, it was officially reorganized into a private joint-stock enterprise in 2017. With over eighty years of development and growth, Liaoduan has become a modern company integrating product research and development, manufacturing, quality control, and sales operations. The company covers more than 220 acres, employs over 240 people, is a national high-tech enterprise, and a provincial enterprise technology center in Liaoning. The company has successively passed ISO9001 quality management system certification, ISO14001 environmental system certification, and ISO45001 occupational health management system certification.
To deepen scientific and technological cooperation between Liaoning and Jilin provinces and build a bridge for cooperation between Jilin Province and Liaoning Province, the project cooperation negotiation meeting between Jilin University and Liaoyang City Science and Technology Enterprises was successfully held at Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Co., Ltd. at 10 a.m. on January 4, 2022. Attendees included Comrade Liu Zhe, Director of Liaoyang Science and Technology Bureau; Comrade Pang Fei, Section Chief of Cooperation Section; Professor Wang Tongjian from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Jilin University; Director Liu Yanfeng from the Domestic Cooperation Office; Associate Professor Sha Yongbai, Deputy Director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Professor Yu Lijuan, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Department; Associate Professor Wang Xin, Director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Chairman Hao Xiren and Party Secretary Sun Dan of Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Co., Ltd.; and representatives of high-tech enterprises in Liaoyang City.
Director Liu Zhe of Liaoyang Science and Technology Bureau stated in his speech that deepening cooperation between universities and research institutes in Jilin Province and science and technology projects in Liaoyang City is an important measure to implement the counterpart cooperation plan between Jilin and Liaoning provinces. Jilin University has cultivated a large number of outstanding scientific research talents. It is hoped that Liaoning and Jilin will take this opportunity to further leverage Jilin Province's advantages in science and education resources to serve the innovative development of the Liaoyang region, carry out technology research and development or achievement industrialization relying on existing universities and research institutes, promote industrial innovation and transformation, jointly conduct forward-looking strategic technology research, integrate innovation resources and industrial scale advantages of both places, collaborate on major technological breakthroughs, and seize the commanding heights of industrial development; fully utilize the spillover effects of technology, industry, and capital, jointly build new industrial technology research institutes and other innovation carriers, and promote common development of the two regions.
Professor Wang Tongjian of Jilin University briefly introduced the basic situation of Jilin University. This negotiation meeting aims to further deepen the scientific and technological cooperation and exchange between Liaoyang City and Jilin University, accelerate two-way interaction, promote the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and enhance regional innovation capability and development level. Currently, Liaoyang City is actively carrying out industry-university-research cooperation and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements to further enhance the agglomeration of innovation resources in Liaoyang. Taking this negotiation meeting as an opportunity, with greater sincerity, better service, and a superior environment, Liaoyang City will further carry out scientific and technological cooperation and exchange with Jilin University, jointly build more diversified innovation carriers and activity platforms, and promote joint technological innovation and common development between Liaoyang City and Jilin Province.
Comrade Sun Dan, Party Secretary of Liaoyang Forging Machine Tool Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Liaoduan), introduced the basic situation of Liaoduan to the experts and professors from Jilin University. As one of the first domestic enterprises to independently develop press technology, Liaoduan has continuously updated and iterated its product technology with economic development. Liaoduan has always focused on scientific research and development. In 2020, Liaoduan developed and put into use the country's first LDE53-6300 electric screw press. Liaoduan will increase investment in scientific research and development, further deepen scientific and technological cooperation and exchange with Jilin University, and rely on universities and research institutes to carry out technology research and development or achievement industrialization. Subsequently, representatives of key science and technology enterprises in Liaoyang City held further cooperation negotiations with relevant experts to seek opportunities for project research and development and achievement industrialization cooperation.
